APG Mechanic (Unlicensed A&P) – Heavy Maintenance

Position Summary

AOG Resources is seeking experienced APG Mechanics (Unlicensed A&P) to support heavy maintenance operations on commercial aircraft. In this role, you will perform a wide range of tasks including servicing, troubleshooting, repairing, modifying, preserving, and overhauling aircraft systems and components. All work must be completed in compliance with FAA regulations, OEM specifications, and company maintenance procedures.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on commercial aircraft systems and components.
  • Troubleshoot mechanical issues and execute necessary repairs or modifications as directed.
  • Read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, schematics, and maintenance documents.
  • Complete all required documentation for maintenance activities and assume accountability through proper sign-off procedures.
  • Utilize tools, gauges, and instruments efficiently and safely to complete assigned duties.
  • Follow all company safety guidelines, maintenance protocols, and environmental regulations.
  • Work independently or under the supervision of licensed A&P mechanics, contributing to aircraft readiness and safety.

Minimum Requirements

  • Valid driver’s license.
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience working on commercial aircraft (B747, B737, A320, A330) in an MRO or heavy maintenance environment.
  • Strong working knowledge of applicable regulatory documentation including FARs, Airworthiness Directives (ADs), Service Bulletins (SBs), and Maintenance Manuals.
  • Ability to read and interpret complex technical drawings and work instructions.
  • Skilled in the use of hand tools, measurement devices, and diagnostic instruments relevant to aircraft maintenance.
  • Familiarity with proper handling and disposal of hazardous materials.
  • Must be able to obtain an airport SIDA badge (pass background check).

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to sit, stand, bend, crouch, kneel, and walk for extended periods.
  • Comfortable working at heights using ladders or work stands.
  • Capable of working with hands extended overhead for prolonged periods.
  • Must have correctable near and far vision.
  • Able to hear standard conversations, with or without hearing aid.
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and handle small components and hand tools with precision.
