Position Summary

AOG Resources is seeking an experienced and licensed A&P Mechanic to perform heavy maintenance on commercial aircraft. This role involves servicing, troubleshooting, repairing, modifying, and overhauling aircraft systems and components in compliance with FAA regulations, manufacturer guidelines, and company procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform maintenance tasks according to approved manuals, blueprints, and technical documents.
  • Troubleshoot and repair aircraft systems, structures, and components.
  • Modify, preserve, and overhaul aircraft in a heavy maintenance (MRO) environment.
  • Accurately document work performed and sign off on completed tasks.
  • Follow verbal and written instructions to complete tasks efficiently and safely.
  • Adhere to FAA regulations, Airworthiness Directives (ADs), and Service Bulletins.
  • Ensure all work complies with company policies and safety standards.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Valid FAA Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) license.
  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in commercial aircraft (e.g., B747, B737, A320, A330) in an MRO setting.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Strong knowledge of applicable regulations, technical documentation, and maintenance procedures.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and engineering drawings.
  • Proficient in the use of hand tools, gauges, and test equipment.
  • Familiar with hazardous material handling and disposal protocols.
  • Must be able to obtain an airport SIDA badge (pass background check).

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to sit, stand, bend, kneel, crouch, and walk for extended periods.
  • Comfortable working at heights using ladders or work stands.
  • Capable of overhead work with one or both arms extended.
  • Correctable near and far vision; ability to hear at conversational levels (with or without hearing aid).
  • Able to lift up to 25 pounds and handle small parts with precision.
